Escaping Domestic Violence Abuse
The burden of DVA can be overwhelming. Victims often feel like they are in a hopeless situation, and have trouble seeing their way out.

Challenges Moving Forward
As many victims have seen, once you seek help and get many questions answered, the skies can clear… and a way out can be found. This is how we break free from the Mental Quick Sand and begin the emancipation process.
At EGR, we have seen how Simple Steps forward can launch a victim’s path towards Emancipation. We have directly seen how access to trained counselors, legal counsel and/or key resources can create the “Break Through Movement” for victims confronting DVA.

Resources
We look to connect individuals with the necessary resources & support to help a person in need make the Simple Steps forward. This is done through our “Army of One” program – where we help connect Victims with the national, state & local DVA organizations which serve as the backbone in the fight against DVA – and we support their making their 1st Steps to freedom happen.
EGR endeavors to support this powerful connection for victims, and to establish the necessary resources to create the essential “Break Through Movement” that can transform a life.
Please see the listed Resources that can support your 1st Steps forward towards freedom.
All of these critical efforts are only made possible through the strong work of the EGR Volunteer Team’s time and talents, and quite importantly, through the generous Donations made by EGR’s supporters. We and the Victims we serve are grateful for your support.

You know your abuser. The most dangerous time for a victim is often when they are planning, are leaving or have recently their abuser. This is why it is essential to gain support from DVA Organizations and develop a Safety Plan as you prepare for & embark upon leaving an abusive relationship. Please see our Resources to gain local expertise, plan and safely take your steps towards freedom.
