About Domestic Violence & Abuse
Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) is a horrific, national blight that reaches one in every three women & one in every four men in the United States alone. This devastating epidemic is inflicted upon victims through both physical and mental abuse that destroys their spirit, confidence, physical well-being, sense of worth and even desire to live. It is physically and mentally crippling that directly impacts millions of people every year.
Key Facts About DVA

It is truly a national blight that must be addressed with a positive vengeance founded on awareness, victims' rights, education and support required to help millions of people in desperate need.
Socio-Economics
The stereotype that DVA is limited along socio-economic boundaries is generally false.
The personal costs of DVA exceeds $5.8 billion each year,
including $4.1 billion for direct medical & mental health services.Estimates are double to triple of that when accounting
for verbal and mental abuse that is rampant with DVA.DVA’s total costs to US Employers are estimated at $13 billion each year.

at the hands of their spouse or significant other.1 in 3 U.S. women and 1 in 4 U.S. men has/will experience DVA in her/his lifetime.
DVA is the leading cause of injury to women,
more than car accidents, muggings and rapes combined.Up to 10 million American women are victims of DVA each year.
