The Friends of Ellen (FOE)

10 Years of Activism

The Friends of Ellen (FOE) originally began as an informal group of friends outraged by the horrific and heinous killing of one of their best friends. They quickly mobilized and were instrumental in so many early efforts, ranging from grieving together with the community, providing support to the Every Great Reason Foundation, and working towards gaining justice through the challenges presented in the criminal process.

The Friends of Ellen rapidly seized the opportunity to turn the love of Ellen, and rage towards her brutal slaying, into becoming a driving force behind the formation and success of
Every Great Reason. Their efforts to support the foundation’s noble cause and turn
Every Great Reason into a strong force for Awareness, Rights, Education & Emancipation of victims has been most remarkable. Always there, always ready to rally, always equipped with the passion to make a difference… the FOE have truly become a FOE of domestic violence & abuse.

The FOE has worked in a committed manner to support the following efforts:

• Awareness events

• Public speaking

• TV programs focused on creating awareness

• Educational events

• Victims' rights efforts

• Fundraising to support EGR’s significant initiatives for others

• Corporate relationships to advance awareness, the EGR cause & DVA movement

The Friends of Ellen has transformed itself from a group of loving individuals who knew and cared greatly for Ellen, and become a dedicated group of individuals (now many who never knew Ellen), who have passionately & dramatically advanced the cause for victims in need.

The Friends of Ellen would like you to Join Us and become a FOE of DVA. We need your help to turn our Mission of turning Tragedy into Triumph for Others, helping those in need gain Freedom, and forging a world without Domestic Violence & Abuse.
